Emergency Closure
In our efforts to improve communications between parents and school, in February, SD74 instituted a telephone broadcast system called SchoolReach that will enable school administration to notify all households and parents by phone within minutes of an emergency or unplanned event that causes early dismissal, school cancellation or late start. The service may also be used from time-to-time to communicate general announcements or reminders.
If you find that you are not being reached successfully through our phone broadcasting system, please contact Mary Jane Warden, Director of Technology, or your school office.Â
The District will continue to report school closings due to snow or weather through traditional methods as detailed below and will use SchoolReach as an overlay to the public announcements.
