Mark Klaisner, Superintendent

Mark Klaisner, SuperintendentMr. Klaisner has been in Lincolnwood School District 74 for eight years. He was the Principal at Todd Hall for three years, followed by three years as the Assistant Superintendent. The 2009-2010 school year marks his third year as the current Superintendent. Mr. Klaisner works for a supportive, visionary school board. He works with a very talented and committed administrative team that is constantly improving the education for our students and the learning of our community.

Prior to coming to Lincolnwood, Mr. Klaisner was an Administrator for eight years in another district. Before becoming a Principal, he was a Teacher for ten years. Mr. Klaisner is very proud of having taught Special Education students as well as children in grades 1, 3, and 5. Additionally, Mr. Klaisner has coached middle school students and taught classes at the high school and college levels.

Mr. Klaisner's educational degrees come from Purdue University and Northern Illinois University. This year he will complete his doctoral degree at National Louis University in Educational Leadership. His dissertation is focused on professional development for principals.

Mr. Klaisner clearly sees the future of Lincolnwood School District as bright. Public education has many challenges these days, but as we continue to work together focused on students, improvement, and excellence, our district will remain exemplary.
