Sharon Churchwell

Welcome to seventh grade life science! My name is Sharon Churchwell. This is my 24th year teaching at Lincoln Hall, and my 34th year teaching overall.

I hold a bachelor's degree in behavioral science from the University of Chicago, a master's degree in teaching from the University of Chicago, and am a National Board Certified teacher in science/early adolescence.

I have always wanted to teach and have memories of persuading neighborhood friends to do math problems during the summer to play school! I also love science and find applications of science in simple everyday activities like using inertia to get ketchup out of a bottle. I learn something new from my students every day and strive to help them gain useful knowledge and develop problem-solving skills in enjoyable ways that enable them to have pride in their abilities.

I look forward to helping our seventh grade students ponder life science this year! Feel free to contact me with any questions, thoughts, or concerns. This is a team endeavor!
