Mari Garvonado

Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Ms. Garvonado (she/her). This is my 13th year teaching at Rutledge Hall, and my 14th year teaching overall.

I hold a bachelor's degree in fiction writing from Columbia College Chicago and a master's degree in special education and general education from DePaul University. I am also endorsed in Teacher Leadership, English Language Learners, and Language Arts.

I was born and raised in Evanston, IL and live just five blocks from my old elementary school. My wife Jenny and two children Eli and Leah love to garden with me and craft. I look forward to spending this year together!
