Hello and welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! My name is Ms. John and I am the school social worker at Rutledge Hall. This will be my 21st year working in Lincolnwood and my 26th year as a school social worker.

As the social worker, I am able to:
  • Meet with children individually or in small groups to address issues such as problem-solving, coping skills, family situations, or friendship concerns that impact the child within the academic environment.
  • Consult with parents and teachers about supporting children.
  • Connect parents with outside resources that may benefit their children.
After growing up in Michigan, I attended Cornell University and received my bachelor's degree in psychology. Shortly thereafter, I earned a master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan. I am currently recognized as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

In my spare time, you can find me reading and taking short trips to visit family in Northern Michigan. I welcome all questions; please don't hesitate to call me at 847-745-3797 or email me.
