Brigita Markevics

 

My name is Mrs. Brigita Markevics and I am excited to be your child's teacher this school year! I have been teaching in the field of special education for the past 26 years, with 15 of those years teaching kindergarten through second grade at Todd Hall.

 

My interests include spending time with my family and friends, reading, traveling, fishing, and gardening. My family consists of my loving husband of 23 years, Martin, and two five-year-old chocolate labs, Lita and her brother Ziggy.

 

I hold a bachelor's degree in education from Eastern Illinois University, a Master of Arts in Education - Reading Specialist from Concordia University, and a Master of Arts in Education: EL from National Lewis University.

 

I am looking forward to a fun and exciting school year!
