My name is Mrs. Brigita Markevics and I am excited to be your child's teacher this school year! I have been teaching in the field of special education for the past 27 years, with 16 of those years teaching kindergarten through second grade at Todd Hall.
 
My interests include spending time with my family and friends, reading, traveling, fishing, and gardening. My family consists of my loving husband of 25 years, Martin, and two seven-year-old chocolate labs, Lita and her brother Ziggy.
 
I hold a bachelor's degree in education from Eastern Illinois University, a Master of Arts in Education - Reading Specialist from Concordia University, and a Master of Arts in Education: EL from National Lewis University.
 
I am looking forward to a fun and exciting school year!
