Kelly McDermott

 

Welcome to third grade! My name is Mrs. McDermott. This is my third year teaching at Rutledge Hall, and my 13th year teaching overall.

 

I hold a bachelor's degree in elementary education and special education from Southern Illinois University, and I am certified in: English language learners, gifted education, and PLTW (coding and robotics).

 

I was born and raised in Morton Grove, Illinois. I love reading, being outside, and watching TV. I also love hanging out with my family and friends. My husband Jim and I live with our son (Brady) and dog (Lilo) in Chicago.

 

I cannot wait for our year together!
