Mrs. Churchwell

Welcome to 7th grade life science! My name is Sharon Churchwell.

This is my 24th year teaching at Lincoln Hall, and my 34th year teaching overall.

I hold the following degrees and certifications:

• B.S. in Behavioral Science from the University of Chicago

• Masters of Science in Teaching  from the University of Chicago

• National Board Certified Teacher - Science/Early Adolescence

I have always wanted to teach and have memories of persuading neighborhood friends to do math problems during the summer to play school!  I also love science and find applications of science in simple everyday activities like using inertia to get ketchup out of a bottle. I learn something new from my students every day and strive to help them gain useful knowledge and develop problem-solving skills in enjoyable ways that enable them to have pride in their abilities.
