I am proud to be part of the Lincolwood community and am exicited to begin another school year. This will be my 22nd year teaching at Rutledge in fourth grade. I have a Master's degree in Teaching and Leadership from St. Xavier University and a Master's degree in Technology from Concordia University. Together with a team of amazing and creative teachers, I am committed to providing your child a great year.
Fourth grade is an exciting time in a student’s life. Students experience a great amount of growth this year. Teaching fourth grade is about setting high expectations for all students. The goal is to practice working independently and cooperatively, developing good study habits, and learning to always do their best work. I believe that all children are capable of learning. Although there are differences in learning styles and rates of learning for each individual child, the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of all students is continuous and sequential. So, a goal for this year is for every child to have a successful, productive, and exciting school experience.
