Mrs. Mona Taliya
I am proud to be part of the Lincolwood community and am excited about beginning another school year. This is my 24th year teaching at Rutledge in fourth grade. I have a master's degree in teaching and leadership from St. Xavier University and a master's degree in technology from Concordia University. Together with a team of amazing and creative teachers, I am committed to helping your child grow this year.
Fourth grade is an exciting time in a student’s life. During this year, students' imaginations expand, their independence increases, and their enthusiasm flourishes, and it is my privilege to help navigate it all. I hope to impart to all my students that learning is a process that never ends. I believe that all children are capable of learning. Although learning styles and personalities are different, the growth of all students is continuous and sequential. I believe in a classroom environment that allows students to approach learning in both a collaborative and independent manner, and I encourage all students to have good study habits, work hard, and put forth their strongest effort.
