Mr. Christoph Edman

Welcome to STEM/Project Lead the Way with Mr. Edman!

I am so excited for another year of STEM instruction at Todd Hall! This is my 13th year at District 74 (and my 23rd year working in education) and I love teaching STEM as it empowers students to ask questions and explore the world around them as we work towards becoming problem solvers. I will be using Project Lead the Way as our core STEM curriculum in order to engage students in project-based learning throughout the year, but we will also have plenty of opportunities for other experiential, hands-on learning.

I received my BA in History from the University of Denver with a minor in Anthropology because I loved learning about the world and the people and groups that have shaped it.  After earning my teaching license and Master of Arts in Education from National Louis University and beginning my teaching career, I found myself drawn to technology and its use in the classroom, which helped shape my career and philosophy as an educator and ultimately led me to my favorite role ever: STEM teacher.

During my free time, I love spending time with my family (and pets) and also enjoy reading books, exploring the Chicagoland area and the rest of the world, and working on projects and crafts around my home.
