I grew up in Wilmette, IL and then attended University of Wisconsin - Madison. I studied Geographic Information Science, and after a short time teaching in Japan, I worked as a cartographer making classroom maps and atlases for Nystrom. After working as a cartographer, I went back to school to become a teacher and earned my master's degree in secondary education. This is my 13th year of teaching, and I have taught a wide variety of classes including math, history, geography, and science. I am interested in many different subjects, which fits well with the interdisciplinary nature of STEM!
