Ms. Bonneville

Welcome to the magical world of mathematics! My name is Monique Bonneville, and I teach 6th grade math at Lincoln Hall.

After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I ventured to the fabulous city of Las Vegas, Nevada to teach 6th and 8th grade science.  Upon moving back to the Chicagoland area, I taught 3rd grade and 4th grade.  While I loved teaching at the elementary level, I really missed teaching middle school students.  I'm super excited to teach our students how creative they can be with mathematics, and how math can come alive in 6th grade!

In our classroom, students will learn that everyone is a “math person.” Mathematics is about creativity, making sense of problems, and learning from mistakes. The latest research shows us that students can reach any levels in mathematics due to the incredible plasticity of the brain. We will work on understanding math from different perspectives, where everyone’s ideas are valued and appreciated. Students will grow their brains and learn so much this year!
