Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Elizabeth Ryan

I am thrilled to begin my 20th year of teaching as an Interventionist at Lincoln Hall! Before joining the Lincolnwood community, I was a classroom teacher for 12 years and a Reading Specialist for 7 years. I graduated John Carroll University with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish. I was fortunate enough to spend a semester abroad in Valencia, Spain studying at La Universidad de Valencia, where I was able to enhance my Spanish speaking skills and live within the incredible culture of Spain. Post college, I served with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps before beginning my teaching career on the southside of Chicago.  I later obtained a Masters as a Reading Specialist from Northeastern Illinois University. I also have significant experience working with English Language Learners (ELL).

In my freetime, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. My 7th grade son is an avid reader like I am, keeping my personal library strong with all the “best books” middle school kids will love. Otherwise, I am a former volleyball player and still love to keep busy with exercise.

I look forward to a great year ahead. Please do visit my classroom!
