Mr. Luk grew up in Skokie, Illinois and started playing the Viola in 4th grade at Devonshire Elementary School.  He studied at Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts where he majored in Viola Performance and then attended VanderCook College of Music where he received a Master's Degree in music education.
