Ms. Burno

Ms.Burno was born in Bryn Mar, Pennsylvania and moved to Illinois in the early 2000s. Music became an early part of her life as she participated in private lessons, church ensembles, and musicals. She continued to develop her love for music at Western Illinois University, where she majored in Music education K-12 for Band & Choral with a middle school endorsement in social studies.  She continued performing in many ensembles, such as operas, University Singers, Concert Choir, Acapella Ensemble,Gospel Choir and the Marching Leathernecks.  Acknowledging her commitment to music education, Ms.Burno is an active member of Sigma Alpha Lota Mu Kappa chapter and served as the chapter's Vice President Membership and Fundraising Chair. Upon graduation in 2017, Ms. Burno taught band, general music, and Melomanics (4th grade & 5th grade choir) for five years.
