Ms. Becca Smoot

I am excited to be joining the Rutledge Hall team this school year as the Instructional Coach! As the Instructional Coach, I will work closely with teachers to support them with goal-setting, utilizing data to inform instruction, and developing strong instructional practices within the classroom. 

This will be my third year working as an Instructional Coach. Prior to becoming a coach, I was a classroom teacher for several years. I taught grades 1st, 3rd, and 4th. Regardless of the role, I have always been passionate about creating spaces where students are excited to learn and grow!

I hold the following degrees:

• B.S. in Psychology from James Madison University

• M.S. in Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, reading, and trying new restaurants!
