Mrs. Gina Fazzini

Hi everyone! My name is Mrs. Fazzini and I am so excited to be teaching 6th grade math this year at Lincoln Hall!

I am now in my 14th year of teaching, the last eight of which were specific to 6th grade math. Boy, has time flown! While I may have a lot of experience teaching 6th grade math, I am still surprised each year by the new things I can learn from students.

A little bit of background information; I received my B.S. in Middle Level Education from Illinois State University. With how much the world has changed in the few years I was teaching, I knew I needed to go back and obtain my M.S. in Differentiated Education from Concordia University. It is there that I learned many strategies to assist the wide variety of learners there are in this world.

On a more personal note, when I am not teaching, I am spending my time with family and friends. When we aren't doing that, my husband and I can be found traveling around the country/world to experience different cultures and most importantly, different food! However, the thing that is currently taking up the majority of our time is our adorable new puppy, Roo! We love taking her for walks or on new adventures around the Chicagoland area.

I know math can be a challenge for some students and a source of excitement for others. This is why my door is always open to either help struggling students or find new ways to extend the knowledge of those who want a challenge. I look forward to a new year full of new students, experiences, and learning opportunities!
