Report an Absence

The absence reporting feature is available!

Reporting Absences in the PowerSchool Parent Portal

Parents and guardians can report student absences through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. You can report absences only for the current day or future dates. To report a past absence, contact your school's main office.

Absence reporting is only available through the online PowerSchool Parent Portal, which you can access via standard browsers such as Safari, Chrome, and Edge. This feature is not available in the PowerSchool mobile app.

Daily student attendance plays a critical role in every Jaguar's success.

Did you know?

  • Regular, consistent attendance helps students stay connected to their school community.
  • Every moment in the classroom is an opportunity to learn, build friendships, and feel a sense of belonging.
  • The daily routines your child develops will continue throughout their school years.

What you can do to ensure every moment matters

Before the school year starts
  • Begin a countdown to the first day.
  • Set a regular bedtime and morning routine.
  • Attend scheduled events to get to know the school, teachers, fellow students, and families.
During the school year
  • Lay out clothes and pack backpacks the night before.
  • Schedule non-urgent medical appointments and extended trips for times when school is not in session.
  • Reach out if your child seems anxious about going to school, or if you need support getting them to school consistently. We are your partners and are here to help.
