Coming Together: Celebrating Chinese Culture

On Friday, February 10th, Rutledge Hall students learned about the Niles Township Coming Together program and this year's chosen culture: Chinese. Lincolnwood Public Library librarians and Rutledge Hall teachers informed the students about the annual event and what it is all about. Students learned about different books written by Chinese-American authors and had the opportunity to reflect on their own cultures. Many students claimed that they were enjoying the opportunity to connect with their peers and find similarities within their cultures.

The opening ceremony takes place tomorrow, Saturday, February 11th, at 7:00 p.m. The event will be held at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie. Each student received a flyer for the event and were encouraged to attend the event if possible.
