This week was all about colors. We read the books Cat’s Colors by Jane Cabrera, Mouse Paint by Ellen Walsh, and White Rabbit’s Color Book by Alan Baker. The children learned how to finger paint and watercolor paint. We also practiced using a scissors and glue stick. We found out what happened when we mixed the primary colors together in our water table. The children really enjoyed changing the color of the water by mixing it together. Each day we introduced a new center and explained how to play. We have been learning how to share and use our materials respectfully. This week we also practiced many of of our safety drills. Our favorite was learning about bus safety because we got to jump out of the back of the bus.
