At the regular Board of Education meeting on May 2, Frozen Jr. cast members previewed three songs from the upcoming musical.
Director Hayley Reynolds, a Kindergarten teacher at Todd Hall, introduced Eleni F. and Yusuf R., who play Anna and Hans. The pair performed a short segment from ‘Love is an Open Door.’ Yianni F. and Charlotte V.-R., who play Kristoff and Sven, performed a segment from ‘Reindeer Are Better Than People.’ Finally, Layla K., who plays Elsa in the musical, performed a segment from the iconic song, ‘Let It Go.’ Watch the performances here.
Later this month, join a talented cast and crew of 28 Lincoln Hall students as they bring the magical land of Arendelle to life. Frozen Jr. features all the memorable songs from the beloved animated film, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.
Performance dates are May 17 at 7 p.m., and May 18 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., in the Lincoln Hall Auditorium. Tickets are available in the District Web Store.
At the same meeting, Lincoln Hall Principal Mark Atkinson recognized the 6th grade boys basketball team and coach Annalise Bordenet, who also teaches 8th grade at Lincoln Hall. The team went undefeated for the season and was named Little 9 champs. Bordenet spoke about the camaraderie of the team. “One of my fondest memories is at the last game they all went out of their way, making their own plays, to get the ball to their friends who might not have yet scored a basket in the season,” she said. “And that just really speaks volumes about who they are as people and as athletes.”
