Member Maxie Boynton has resigned her position on the District 74 Board of Education. The Board will begin the process of filling the open seat per Board Policy and state law. See the details below on the process to submit an application.

RE: Board of Education Member Vacancy Announcement

The Lincolnwood School District 74 Board of Education is accepting applications to fill a vacancy. The individual selected will serve on the Board of Education from the date of appointment to April 2025. If you are interested in being considered for this very important position you must:

Be a U.S. citizen
Be at least 18 years old
Be a resident of Illinois and the District for at least one year preceding appointment
Be a registered voter
Not be a child sex offender
Not hold another incompatible public office
Not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the District
Not be a school trustee
Not hold certain types of prohibited State or Federal employment
Submit a Statement of Economic Interest should you be appointed
Submit the necessary documentation:

- Complete questionnaire (available at the Marvin Garlich Administration Building, 6950 N. East Prairie Road, on our website via Google form, or click the link here: Board Vacancy Questionnaire)
- Letter of Intent to Superintendent (emailed to drusso@sd74.org or dropped off at the Marvin Garlich Administration Building, 6950 N. East Prairie Road)
- Resume (emailed to drusso@sd74.org or dropped off at the Marvin Garlich Administration Building, 6950 N. East Prairie Road)

Please submit the above-mentioned documentation no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The Board of Education will make the appointment of the new Board Member at the June 27, 2024 Board of Education meeting.
